　　Co-curricular activities, like art and craft, are quite essential at school because these help pupils develop their inherited skills. Here I'm going to take this opportunity to talk about one such activity that I did at school.

　　I still remember very well I was in 7th grade when I made a scrapbook. There was an annual competition in my school at that time, which was organised to boost the morale of students. My class teacher assigned me to make a scrapbook on any topic. I must say it was a very difficult task for me as I had never done any such activity before. I took my sister's help to choose a topic and to complete this scrapbook.

　　We came across the idea to make this scrapbook on an environmental issue, which was about 'save and grow trees' I, along with my sister, used cardboard and cut some photos of trees out of the charts. At the same time, I covered these pieces of cardboard with colourful patterned paper in order to make them look nice. I pasted trees' photos on each page of this scrapbook and wrote some quotes with colourful sketches.

　　There were more than ten pages in this scrapbook and each one was representing a different message, like the importance of trees, the effect of deforestation climate change, etc.

　　It took me almost two days to complete this scrapbook, which was a wonderful experience for me.

　　On the next day, my class teacher got amazed to see this beautifully decorated scrapbook for which I also got a lot of appreciation from her.

　　On the competition day, everybody liked my project, so I was able to win the first prize.

　　I have to say I was over the moon when the principal announced my name. This experience really motivated me to take part in such activities on a regular basis.

　　Co-curricular-Co-curricular refers to non-academic activities performed by students to enhance their life skills.

　　Inherited skills-to be born with some special qualities.

　　Came across-to meet someone, or to find something by chance.

　　Cut out- remove or make something by separating it from something larger.

　　Appreciation- valuing of someone's good qualities and efforts.

　　Over the moon-extremely happy; delighted.
