雅思素材积累：罗志祥人设崩塌？公众人物有义务成为榜样吗？

　　雅思素材干货整理!最近，娱乐圈的事件频频霸占微博热搜，从“李佳琦抽烟”到“罗志祥事件”，公众人物的一言一行似乎时时刻刻受到人们的关注, 而他们一些“不恰当”或者是“错误”的行为也很容易对自己造成负面的影响，这也让我想起一个话题：Are celebrities obligated to be a role model? (名人有义务成为榜样吗? )

　　*注意这里的be obligated to do sth 有义务做某事的搭配哦。

　　所以，我在英文学习网站上搜索了类似话题，找到了三个值得分享的信息源(经济学人，美国歌手Cardi B, 以及 the tyle.com),想要让各位烤鸭们了解一下正反双反都有哪些观点以及在英文语境之下的表达。(PS：本篇不带有个人观点倾向，纯粹是搬运工)。

　　 经济学人(The Economist-EDUCATION FOUNDATION)就曾做过类似的话题探讨：Do people in the public eye have more of a responsibility to behave well?

　　下面的回复主要分3个立场

　　01 赞同

　　网友回复：I think that people in the public eye have to behave well because they set an example to society(为社会树立榜样) of how people should behave as(因为) others look up to them(崇拜他们) and see them in a certain way, so they have to uphold a certain image(维护形象) of themselves in order to have a positive impact on society(对社会产生积极影响). For example, the Queen; whenever she is seen by the public , she has to dress, look, and behave a certain way. It is also important for her image that she has been married once only(只结一次婚), upholds the Royal Family traditions(坚守皇室传统) and goes to church Sunday. She tries give an example of respect(尊敬),religion(宗教) and good principles(良好的原则) for families and society.

　　02不赞成:

　　Personally, I don’t think that they have to specifically behave well. Like every other person on this planet(这个星球), we are ordinary people(常人). So, if someone was to be the controller of something,fame doesn’t have to cover their personality(名气也不应该掩盖他们的性格)! For example, Billie Eilish, a famous music artist is known by over 40,000,000 people. However, her personality and uniqueness(独特性) aren’t overshadowed by(未因...而失色) fame.

　　03不仅同意，而且认为每个人都应该举止得体：

　　I agree with you, however non-famous people should also be well behaved as we all impact society in one another(我们每个人都会影响社会).

　　Cardi B

　　美国饶舌歌手Cardi B因为赞扬中国防疫成果显著的视频而登上深圳卫视，使得更多中国人民熟知Cardi B. 不过Cardi也是一位非常敢说敢做的一位歌手，曾因为自己的言论以及着装惹来争议。去年，一位网友在推特上@Cardi, 声称Cardi 平常所传递出来的言论给年轻女孩们带来了不好的影响。我也收集了Cardi回复的原文，以及底下网友支持Cardi 和不支持Cardi的双方立场。

　　There is an age-old(又来以久的) debate swirling around(围绕) on whether or not celebrities have a responsibility to their fans to act as “good role” models.Rapper Cardi B spoke out against(公然反对) this theory and says she shouldn’t have to censor herself(没必要审视自己) and she never signed up to be a role model(从未签约要成为一个榜样). But others argue because celebrities are in the spotlight(在聚光灯下;受到人们关注), they have an obligation(义务，责任) to the public. Do you think celebrities are obligated to act as role models?

　　Nobody should be considered a role model simply because(就因为) they are a celebrity(名人).

　　Instead(相反),celebrities should be judged(被评判) based on what they are famous for,as well as how they present themselves to the public.

　　Most celebrities are famous for some talent or ability(才华或能力). If there is anything worth looking up to a celebrity for, that is usually it. (如果名人有什么值得崇拜的话，那就是他们的才华或能力)

　　I am so heartily sick of(非常讨厌)hearing women accused of(被指责) being bad role models,when they never wanted to be a role model in the first place(最开始;首先).
