　　Criminal trials had been exposed to the public through media platform such as TV over the recent years. In comparison with traditional trials, I would assert that despite shortcomings, broadcast of process brings more merits to a large extent.

　　It should be admitted that repeated exposure of criminal trials can cause certain problems related to individuals and society as a whole. As participants, victims and witnesses would be shown to the mass public, not to mention the judge and police workers engaged in many judicial events. Consequently, invasion of personal information is more likely to occur, which may even result in potential risks such as vindictive acts. Another concern is to the audience who watch criminal trials, when excessive scenes of real process are unveiled, citizens tend to lack a sense of security and thus social terror will be a severe problem to the government.

　　Nevertheless, I insist that the public has the right to get informed of the court case, and so the broadcast of actual trials would be a great way to disclose the fair judgment and proper punishment to all. For instance, a case of corrupt governors can win the public confidence and trust by displaying sentence treatments. In addition, the results of the court will pose a deterrent effect on possible law-breakers, curbing similar criminal behaviors and warning them of the dangers of committing a crime. Currently, many criminal trials are broadcasted to the viewers and it is the transparency and justice that the government attempts to deliver.
