苏州环球雅思阅读备考方法：雅思阅读之减法判断

　　雅思判断题的比较历来是一个难点，很多同学即便是在原文定到了出处，仍然难以对true, false 还是not given 进行正确判定，今天给大家讲述一个简单有效的判定方法，希望对大家今后的备考有所帮助。

　　首先，这个方法的精髓在于提取题目的主谓宾，在文中出处比较对应信息。 考虑到比较时信息越多干扰越多，而题目中的主谓宾信息包含了题目中的主要信息，根据主谓宾去比较相当于做减法，减去无关的干扰信息，我把这个这个方法称之为减法判断，接下来我们通过几个题目来看一下这一方法的应用性如何。

　　例题1The Sumerians were responsible for starting the recording of events.

　　原文 Then consider Sumerian, the language spoken on the banks of the Euphrates some 5,000 years ago by the people who invented writing and thus enabled the documentation of history. 上面是剑桥雅思真题11里的一个判断题的题目和出处，直接比较的话大家会被很多不重要的信息干扰，那我们提取题目主谓宾为The Sumerians，starting，the recording of events. 主语可以在文中找到对应的Sumerian，宾语对应the documentation of history，这里用到了同近义词替换，事件的记录等同于历史文件，而谓语则对应invented writing，发明写作等于开始记录，通过主谓宾的对应我们可以发现三者的信息是一致的，所以我们可以判定这道题是true.

　　例题2Alexander McKee knew that the wreck would contain many valuable historical objects. 原文 McKee and his team now knew for certain that they had found the wreck, but were as yet unaware that it also housed a treasure of beautifully reserved artifacts. 上面是剑桥雅思真题11test2里的一个判断题的题目和出处，同样提取题目主谓宾为Alexander McKee，knew，valuable historical objects. 主语可以在文中找到对应的McKee，宾语对应a treasure of beautifully reserved artifacts，这里也用到了同近义词替换，珍贵的历史物品等同于工艺品宝藏，而谓语knew则对应的were as yet unaware that明显可以看出信息的矛盾之处，be unaware that是没有意思到的意思，通过主谓宾的对应我们可以发现谓语信息是矛盾的，所以我们可以判定这道题是false.

　　例题3 The Falkirk Wheel is the only boat lift in the world which has steel sections bolted together by hand. 原文 The Wheel would need to withstand immense and constantly changing stresses as it rotated, so to make the structure more robust, the steel sections were bolted rather than welded together. Over 45,000 bolt holes were matched with their bolts, and each bolt was hand-tightened. 上面也是剑桥雅思真题11一道判断题，同样提取题目主要信息，这里为主系表为The Falkirk Wheel，is，the only boat lift. 主语可以在文中找到对应的The Wheel，系动词这里是is可以忽略，表语无法找到含有唯一的the only对应的信息，在也就是说文中没有提到对应的表语，虽然不一致但是我们并没有找到矛盾的地方因为只是没有提到，所以我们可以判定这道题是not given.
