　　Many consider the localized food commercial mode would bring about immediate benefits because they superficially think about the environmental contribution and the lessened costs via limiting the food transportation. It is true that by stopping a part of long-distance food migration, air quality would be somewhat improved, since less exhaust would be released. So do the carbon emissions. Simultaneously, the saved transporting costs are directly reflected in the pricing procedure of the food commerce, meaning that a more flexible, lucrative trade may be established between farmers and consumers—a lowered cost makes a tiny save of the consumers’ purchase. This stimulates the sales of food, then the increased revenue among every sector: famers, wholesalers and retailers, and the mutual profits are easily realized within the localized primary industry between buyers and sellers.

　　Whereas the myopic thinking exhibited in the paragraph doesn’t allow people to see past the truth behind the local food trading without interactions of this industry between areas. The essence of the reason why food needs to travel miles away, is that there are imbalances between the need of consumers and what a localized farming industry can provide. Tragedy, however, happens once a place has to expand farming land for fully address the problem of the deficiency in food for the local residents: the ecosystem would largely be blighted due to land transformation; the save of emissions is useless because of the gas discharges for burning trees for farming. What is worse, deeply, is the huge fluctuation of food economy when no multiple trades are encouraged: price can be severely raised when in short supply, and the extremely cheap produces impose a great pressure on food-related practitioners.

　　In conclusion, I would very much agree that inefficiencies prevail the advantages if the food trading mode is changed from multi-area pattern into localized one, since the virtually impractical merits may not be realized, but calamities are easily foreseen.
