　　Some people argue that the development of technology is making our lives too complex, and the solution is for everyone to accept a simpler way of life without using that technology. To what extent do you agree or disagree?(20170218)

　　In our hyper-connected world, everyone has been influenced by advanced technology. Some people think that technology is the cure and solution to all our problems. However, I say that we should beware of the illusion of technology.

　　Apparently, advanced technology makes our lives more complicated. Firstly, advanced technology means our private and personal information can be easily leaked and obtained. For example, if we browse websites about a cra ash course we will eceive a phone call from this centre to sell that product. Secondly, technology has brought a major transformation to the way we communicate. We devote our time to virtual relationships that are as fragile as a spider's web. Ultimately, technology makes us lack critical thinking because all of the information we receive online is passively accepted. We have lost our competence to distinguish right from wrong when we live in such an environment for a long time.

　　Yet, some people believe that technology facilitates our life in a variety of ways. For example, the autopilot can reduce man power, and medical science has increased our life expectancy. However n many ways, technology has had the opposite effect. The atomic bomb was produced by science and technology. It made Hiroshima a barren land. In addition, modern technology has made people increasingly lazy. Therefore, if we intend on having a healthy and simple life, we should stay away from modem technology and retum to nature.

　　For the reasons mentioned above, it seems to me that technology has had a negative effect on our daily activities. Therefore, we should treasure our life and stay away from technology.
