　　It is true that an increasing number of young people are moving to large cities from the countryside and leaving their old parents at home. This essay will explore the problems associated with this trend and propose several measures that might address them.

　　Young working adults' flooding into big towns may negatively affect the living environment in cities as well as the well-being of old people in less developed areas. A growing urban population will lead to problems like traffic congestions, air pollution and high living costs，which would impose extra pressure on city residents. A study conducted in 5 countries by Cambridge University showed that the livability of cities declines as the population increases. Besides, older people would feel lonely and isolated if left in the countryside, causing mental problems that are harmful to their health.

　　These problems can be solved by governments' investment in the development of rural areas.If authorities could encourage factories and companies to move to the countryside, more young people would choose to work and stay in their hometowns instead of competing for job opportunities in big cities. Similarly, overcrowding in towns can be eased by the improvement of public transportation that enables commuters to live in suburbs while commuting to the city center conveniently. As for the well-being of old people that are left in the countryside, governments should fund more community centers where the elderly can socialize and gain essential health assistance.

　　In conclusion, young people's migration to large towns may cause problems like declining living conditions in cities and poor health status of their parents staying in the : countryside, but these problems can be solved if governments invest in the improvement of infrastructure in rural areas.
