　　题目大意

　　一些人认为把不同能力的学生放一起会对他们好，而另外一些人认为那些比较聪明的学生应该单独放一起教。讨论双方并给出自己的观点

　　写作思路解析

　　分开教理由：

　　对学生有好处。因为老师可以因材施教，针对不同的学生采取不同的教学方法，以此来提高整体的学习效果。譬如说，对于学习能力较强的同学来说，老师上课可以讲解更多的知识或者针对某一学科进行更深层次的讲解，这些都有利于学生变得更优秀。而对于那些学习能力一般的学生来说，老师可以放慢速度举一反三，从而帮助学生提高学习兴趣

　　一起教理由：

　　不同能力的学生可以互相进步。学习好的同学可以起到榜样作用。而且大家可以互相交流学习以外的事情，帮助发展社交能力。如果分开教，可能会让一部分学生觉得不公平。他们会认为自己不如别人，可能会丧失信心，从而消极对待学习。

　　It is quite common to see that many schools give varied education for students who are identified as “gifted” or “talented” . Some people think this action is beneficial for students and should be encouraged, while others claim that it is more reasonable to mix both top students and average ones into the same class.

　　The separate teaching scheme tends to have a positive influence on students. The most obvious advantage is that it allows teachers to employ different pedagogic strategies. To be specific, for the more intelligent who can learn concepts easily and progress at a faster pace, teachers or tutors can cover more ground to help them fully achieve their potential. Similarly, some other students who are not that intelligent may be slow at learning or acquiring new knowledge or skills, thus a corresponding suitable teaching strategy then is highly desirable. Considering this, the learning efficiency for both of them can be promoted, which enables them to enhance their academic performance.

　　On the other hand, those against this practice argue that streaming is unfair for those average students. To start with, when all the students in the class are academically disadvantaged, they may lose the motivation to work harder. Considering the fact that they are labeled as less intelligent, some of them may even feel inferior to their outstanding peers, which also has adverse impact on their enthusiasm towards study. Instead, mixed ability class not only encourages everyone to achieve their potential but also can benefit students socially.

　　To conclude, I think it is not bad to separate students and nurture them according to their academic ability, catering for the needs of students in different levels.
