　　Hello everyone!This is Alison from Changchun Global Education!

　　Today we are going to look at the Task 1 question in Toefl exam on December 8th.

　　And the question is

　　Do you prefer watching the entertaining movies or the serious and educational movies?

　　这是19年12月8日考试的原题，actually it’s not an exactly new question，过去的考试中就有出现过关于电影的题目，在非常老的托福口语学习资料黄金80题里面就出现过类似的问题，具体的题目是

　　Which is your favorite type of movie: action, drama, or others? Please include specific details and examples in your explanation.

　　两道题讨论的都是电影及不同电影带来的不同影响，那么我们这里先来普及一些基础的电影的类型：

　　action movie 动作电影

　　romance movie 爱情电影

　　comedy 喜剧

　　documentary 纪录片

　　science-fiction movie 科幻片

　　thriller 悬疑恐怖片

　　animation 动画片

　　这两道题主要的不同是老题是按电影题材类型分类的，而新题把电影宽泛的合并成了两类，一类就是entertaining的，而另一类是serious and educational。那我们怎么一箭双雕，把这两道题进行一下结合呢，其实我们可以去把上面提到的这些电影类型按照刚才说的两类区分一下，一般我们能最直观想到的entertaining的就是comedy 喜剧，而serious and educational 的就是documentary即纪录片，这是非常直观的想法，没毛病，很可以的，先拿comedy举例

　　那我们分析一下看comedy的好处，当然第一个能想到的就是help me relax，这个很好想到的，上过我课或者在环球学习过托福口语课程的同学都会有一套关于relax这个论点的论述方式，这里就可以完美嵌入，你可以说自己学习压力比较大，迫切需要放松等等，这个point就可以帮你完成前30秒的答案，剩下的15秒，我们可以再补充一个论点，比如我的朋友们很喜欢这种类型的电影，我们可以经常一起讨论，或者我们也可以去反驳一下非选观点的坏处，比如说，如果我要学习东西的话我可以去上课或者看书，为什么我还要看电影呢?!这样的答案可以回答上面两道问题。

　　这里我给大家示范一下答案

　　So the answer could be like:

　　Well, personally, I definitely prefer movies which are more entertaining, especially comedies, absolutely my cup of tea.

　　Well, on the one hand, movies like this are relaxing, I mean, they help me to unwind which is super important for me as I’m under a lot of pressure from my study these days. Currently, I’m working my tail off to get a higher GPA so that I’ll be admitted by my dream university. I’m dying for some fun to ease me up.

　　On the other hand, I’m not really sure why on earth I should expect to get education from movies, I mean, if I really want to grasp some knowledge, why shouldn’t I read some books or take some classes?It’s more straightforward and effective right?

　　这里面重点提醒几个表达：

　　1. my cup of tea 可以理解为，我的菜，比如我们看到一个很可爱的、很喜欢的男生，我们可以说，he’s absolutely my cup of tea

　　2. unwind vt. 放开，放松 wind这个词除
